SEE YOU NEXT YEAR AT THE FEST!
In 1975, when Bourbonnais celebrated its Centennial, the event
was so successful that a year later Bourbonnais neighbors and
friends got together to launch the first Annual Friendship Festival.
Now in its 33rd year, it is bigger and better than ever, drawing
the biggest crowds seen at a family festival in Kankakee County.
Filled with five days of free entertainment, a multitude of activities,
contests, a safe carnival, sports events and a 90 minute "Grand"
Parade, the festival has become a favorite for area families
and friends.

The festival wishes to thank Mayor
Bob Latham and his wonderful
wife Karen for all the support,
friendship and fantastic memories
over the past 7 years.  We hope they
are "riding high" and enjoying their
retirement!  We will miss them
tremendously but expect to see them
at the festival every year!
The festival would also like to
congratulate new Mayor Paul Schore.
His sweet wife Mary and he
have been "friends" of the
festival for a very long time and
we look forward to a lot more fun
and camaraderie in the coming
years.  Please come out to the
festival to talk to Mayor Schore
and learn first hand all the great
things about him we already know!
In 2007 the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival gave back to the
community by donating $10,500 to the Bourbonnais Police
Department.  Police Chief Joe Beard accepted a check from the
festival's Special Appropriations Committee to help offset the cost
of much needed digital radios for the police officers.  Due to slashed
line item budget requests by present Governor Blagojevich, the
Police Department's need for digital police radios was dealt a swift
blow.  The festival was more than happy to rise to the occasion and
help the police department out with the much needed equipment.
The Festival would like to extend a special Thank You
to Wayne Baranoswski and Wayba Productions for capturing
and sharing some of the festivals greatest moments via the
camera lens.

Wayba.com staff will be on site at this years festival and will
be offering images of many of the main events this year as
